Date: 2017-01-04 02:54 am (UTC)Her light gray eyes betrayed her true feelings. She was scared, upset, angry, confused, happy, hopeful and relieved. "Thank, Thorfinn." Freya felt a small smile tug at her lips as her hand moved to slip into his. "It sounds like you've met a lot of great woman. Told you I'd be more jealous." It was an attempt to think about something else for a moment, some good that could come from this.
"Would you kiss me again? Like this, I want to feel it." She wondered if that was alright. If he would be okay with that.

Date: 2017-01-04 04:37 am (UTC)When she spoke he smiled as he squeezed her hand, lacing their fingers together. "I have, Jo and Cassie mean a lot to me. But you, you are the one I choose to spend my days with. You need not be jealous of either, Cassie is six, and Jo is family."
But when she asked, he didn't even give an answer as dangerous as it was he leaned forward to push another strong kiss to her lips like the night before squeezing her hand at the same time to show he was still here for her.

Date: 2017-01-04 12:41 pm (UTC)She nipped at his lower lip before pulling away with a small smile. "If you ever want to shut me up. I suggest doing that." She was teasing, teasing and joking were how Freya handled most things. She wouldn't be able to rationalize all of this, not for some time, but she would start the process of understand, of giving this a chance instead of hating it out right.
"So you'll like me, even if I was human? I'm sort of crappy at fighting back now. Not saying I won't win against you, just in general."

Date: 2017-01-04 01:13 pm (UTC)"That, will not be the only reason." He teased right back, in a little bit of better spirits. "What you are is not why I like you, why I want to spend our lives together. I like you, the person you are. The wolf, is just a bonus, it is cool and I wont deny that, but if your stuck like this forever, which I doubt I think this is the world fucking with you. Than we will walk that path together. Don't worry about what I think Freya, I gave you my heart I wont take that back from you. No matter what shape your in my affection and strength are yours to command and take."

Date: 2017-01-04 01:24 pm (UTC)Freya lightly kicked her feet as they dangled over the edge of the clif. It was a long ways down but she didn't think that either of them would fall, even sitting as they were and kissing. A soft huff of air exited her lips and she shook her head. "You make things sound so much easier than I think they are. I'm going to worry. I think worrying is a natural state for most females unless they don't care and I'm weirdly caring so." She lifted her shoulders in a short shrug, clearly not minding that she cared.
It was another really strange feeling; caring what someone thought. Freya never had before, she was never senselessly polite. She was just herself and while that person sometimes bent, she sometimes changed, she never tried to be more than she was. She clicked her tongue softly, listening to the sound echo in her head.
"I'm not really sure why you like me. I'm not anything great." Not as she was now, bisected by whatever the fuck this world was doing. She flexed her fingers and decided that it felt weird. She'd never felt uncomfortable in her own skin but she felt that now. Freya exhaled and closed her eyes again, trying to listen to the winds song, it felt so far away.

Date: 2017-01-04 01:49 pm (UTC)"Things sound easy because I see no point in worrying, shit will happen and we'll figure it out when we get there. No point worrying before something happens. "While women may worry as a man its just my place to figure stuff out and protect my family. These are things I can do. If you trust me to it. I'm not the smartest man, but I wont even purposely let you down." He reached up with his other hand scratching at his hair some.
"I don't have an answer for that that makes sense besides what I have said. I like you, I want to spend my days and nights with you." He looked back out to the morning sky. "We'll figure it out."

Date: 2017-01-04 02:39 pm (UTC)"I think you're smarter than you give yourself credit for. Also, I do trust you. More than you know, more than I am comfortable with." It was a weird balance. "It's just hard to kill old habits. I've always been by myself. It's what I'm used too." It sounded less depressing not that she wasn't alone but it still wasn't a happy thought. It was hard for her to not think in those terms.
Freya flexed her hand again. "I want to spent my days and nights with you too." Though that might be more difficult than it sounds.
She kept hitting her heel against the rock face as they spoke. It was weirdly calming, until something sharp dug into Freya's heel at the wrong angle. She winced and pulled her foot up to see a small pool of crimson gathering around her heel. It wasn't a big cut but seeing that it wasn't healing was startling. Freya just stared at it, her fingers reaching towards the warm silky red fluid.

Date: 2017-01-04 05:22 pm (UTC)Not that he cared if the man approved.
"I've done more, as you know, but only the once." he spoke still looking at the sky. He looked back to her when she spoke of him being smart. "I hope I dont ever let that down, even if you think I may be smarter, please do keep in mind a lot of things I dont understand, so if I do hurt you, talk to me, tell me what Ive done, I may not realize anythings wrong otherwise." He knew women were strange creatures hes seen enough of that in passing. "It's all I want from you is to be yourself. I don't want either of us to change, just to live our lives together."
"We'll find a way, even if the nights will be harder. We will make this work."
He knew he needed to talk to Jo, to Bull and Ragnar even Thor. He wouldn't be able to stay in the Roadhouse, not with Freya being uncomfortable and him being himself he knew that getting married means they need a place to live together, the Roadhouse couldn't be that place for them. "we always have the woods for now. Come on I have an idea." He moved to start to push himself up wen he realized she was bleeding, leaning closer he looked at the mark. "You'll need to start wearing shoes until this passes."

Date: 2017-01-04 05:45 pm (UTC)"Thorfinn," Her tone was serious and even. "If you do anything to hurt me you'll know because I'll probably kick your ass while yelling at you." Even being reduced to her human state, she'd still tell him. She buried to many things and while she was skilled at burying loneliness and regret, she was very bad at hiding other emotions. She had very little practice with them.
She wondered where they would stay or live. She didn't know if the forest was a good place for her now. She felt displaced from it. Like it was close but also very far away. It hurt to think to long about so she pushed the thoughts away.
Freya hummed softly and waved a dismissive hand as she pushed herself up to stand. She wobbled a little bit and quickly stepped away from the edge of the cliff when she felt she might fall. "It's just a cut, I'll be fine. Besides, I haven't been carrying my backpack with me." Which was odd for her but she felt comfortable enough with Thorfinn that she hadn't needed it. "What is your idea?"

Date: 2017-01-04 06:30 pm (UTC)"I dont know, that sounds kind of fun." he teased, looking at her foot, and the blood. He figured until he paid off the loan he took out for Ragnar he would take her to the room in Skyhold where he was keeping her things, and sleeping when he was to drunk to stumble home. After he paid off the loan he would look into getting them their own home.
"If your sure." Though he realized at her words that her leaving her backpack meant something. He smiled softly and nodded pushing up to move away from the cliffs edge. He loved the height, his nightmares had not yet worked the cliffs in yet, the fear wasn't there.
"My idea, is we take you into the woods and you run, run as fast as you can now until you feel at one with the world around you. I'm human and I can do it, it just wont be the same as your used to, try the new feeling of it."

Date: 2017-01-04 06:51 pm (UTC)"I’m mostly sure." She always had her backpack with her. It was a way that she carried her home with her, wherever she went. Now, she had no intention of going anywhere and her home was where Throfinn went. Maybe one day she’d dismantle the backpack, when she had a safe place to put her things but for now it was waiting for her, stashed away somewhere safe until she thought she’d need it again. "I’m 85% sure." Freya liked percentages.
She listened to his idea and eventually nodded her head. "That does sound like an idea." She was being difficult on purpose but it was making her feel a little bit more like herself. Freya would always be a little bit of a brat. Her head turned over towards Thorfinn and she paused, trying not to reach inside of her, trying not to feel what was missing. "I want to see if I’m still faster than you." She was fast for a wolf; maybe she’d still be fast for a human too.
"Also-" Freya chewed on the inside of her lip. "I don’t really want to be alone like this." It was such a weird thing for her to admit; she’d been alone for most of her life and for the first time she didn’t want to be alone. It was adding just a little bit more strangeness to a strange day.

Date: 2017-01-04 07:38 pm (UTC)"If it starts itching or burning get it looked at." not advice he followed for himself, but he didn't understand germs. He just didn't want her suffering or scarred before she gets her form back. "85% is still high enough that I like the odds." He replied pulling up his discarded over shirt and started pulling it over the t-shirt. Moving over to meet her again.
"I dont mind running with you, fuck I bet I can beat you now." He felt a swell of pride when he said it even if for once, it was him planning to throw a match, to make her feel better. He KNEW she had let him win the arm wrestling, it was his turn to do something kind now. Sylvi barked running after them she wanted to run to!
"We'll find somewhere to stay together, Bull's offered me a room at Skyhold to keep your things since your uncomfortable at the Roadhouse."

Date: 2017-01-04 07:56 pm (UTC)She’d probably wash it out later tonight; maybe take a shower or something. The water would probably feel weird too though. She frowned and then pushed the thought away. She wasn’t’ going to think about it; she’d focus on what they were doing here and now.
"You know I’m still fast; just not supernatural. I bet I can still win." Freya stuck out her tongue at him as if that alone proved her point. She never saw Thorfinn as the sort of person to throw a match. She’d done it merely because she’d bet against herself and at the time, she’d really wanted a drink. Sylvi could no doubt out run them both.
A small exhale of breath exited her lips as she ran after Thorfinn and towards the woods. She already felt the new strain on her joints, the pressure against her arms and legs and the sharp inhale of her breath. It was completely different from what she was used too. "Sam asked if I’d come back. It’s not uncomfortable. I just don’t think anyone really wants me there." Talking and running was difficult so with that said she stopped talking and tried to pull ahead of Thorfinn. She didn’t care where she was going, for the first time since she was young she was watching her feet, making sure she didn’t trip on anything as she made her way forward.

Date: 2017-01-04 08:58 pm (UTC)He liked showers he longer he was in the world, he showered once every few days but Saturdays he'd steal the tub for a an hour or two and clean himself better. Only on Saturdays.
Thorfinn wasn't the type to, but the idea had hit him so he planned to do it, if only to make her feel a little better, he didn't count on the tiny pup outrunning them both, but he took off fast as Sylvi followed, the two moving quiick as could be. Though he could hear Freya he choose not to call back so not to wind himself, it was only after some distiance he started to make himself slow down.

Date: 2017-01-04 09:40 pm (UTC)Freya felt herself getting winded, but she pushed forward, it was easier to run faster when Thorfinn was in front of her, for a while she stayed at his side and then she noticed that she was either pulling ahead or he was falling behind. She didn’t know if it was intentional or not, her sense of time and effort was disjointed and unclear. She could only feel the wind on her face and the hard ground under her feet. Her muscles began to scream with pain but she didn’t care, she pushed forward, she kept pushing. Her breath became ragged and was audible as they moved forward. She didn’t know where she was going but she felt as if she could out run everything behind her; this sudden change, the pain and the past. Thorfinn was with her which meant that there were no chains behind her, nothing to stop her.
She wondered how much time had passed, it wasn’t very long, not compared to what she’d run before.
Freya felt her limbs weaken noticeably as she continued to force herself forward. Thorfinn would probably notice the strain in her limbs but she didn’t want to stop.
Not yet.
Not yet.

Date: 2017-01-04 10:34 pm (UTC)He ran for speed.
She ran for freedom.
He wanted her to remember she was still free even if they were captive in this place.
He watched her go until his lungs started to burn only then did he stop, calling out to her. "Don't push yourself to hard!" He called loud, but he didn't want to discourage her, she was used to being more, he didn't want her hurt, but also didn't want her feeling like less.

Date: 2017-01-05 01:27 am (UTC)Nothing was broken or bleeding but she'd be bruised in a few hours and they'd probably last for a few days. She pushed her palm against the ground and grunted as she pushed herself up to a sitting position.
"Damn it." She was pissed but there was little she could do about it, she'd wanted to go faster but she couldn't. Once seated she looked over to where Thorfinn was, her fingers tugging at her hair. She was annoyed, not so much sad, just really pissed off.
Freya supposed that now might be a good time to finish fixing her motorcycle.

Date: 2017-01-05 01:53 am (UTC)Thorfinn saw her hit his jaw dropped a moment before he pulled the look back into himself. Pushing off the tree despite his own aching lungs, losing on purpose was harder than wining it was like letting his body realize he was tired rather than running through till the rush died off.
He moved over to her, his brown eyes on her. "You okay?" No belittling even if he had words in mind he would have said. She was having a hard enough time without him being a bitch to her. He offered a hand down to her still having heavy breaths. "Need a hand?"

Date: 2017-01-05 02:09 am (UTC)She took his hand but used her body weight and rocked back, trying to pull Thorfinn down to the ground with her. Leverage and gravity were great when used properly.
"I'm fine. Just sore and stupid. You didn't let me get ahead did you? Because if you did then you owe me a drink." Maybe not today. She didn't want to walk into any bar with dark bruises on her arms. She'd wait for them to heal and then think about dealing with society. Maybe sneak into a window so she could find a bed to sleep on. The ground was a lot harder now that she wasn't so resilient.

Date: 2017-01-05 02:21 am (UTC)"See if I play nice next time." He bit back before shifted to pull his knee off but not his hand from her. "I guess I owe you a drink." It was as close to a confession as she'd get. He never saw a point in lying.

Date: 2017-01-05 02:41 am (UTC)Today was supposed to be a happy day and that thought rang constantly in her head.
"Then you should buy me one now that I can feel it. I wonder how much I can take." She was so small. Freya's head tilted to the side as she moved forward, wrapping her arms around Thorfinn's. "I want to keep going. To see what else we can in the forest but I wanted to hug you first."
no subject
Date: 2017-01-05 02:51 am (UTC)He was about to say something when she launched forward to hug him. An amused look crossed his face as he hugged her back tightly, before twisting them to give her what she had said moments before, laying her back so he could lay half over her. "Better? And hug me anytime you wish, unless I am at the forge, that might upset the boss."

Date: 2017-01-05 03:01 am (UTC)It was like the world was lined with silver and everything she touched could hurt her if she let it. she didn't want to suddenly be afraid of the world.
Freya laughed as he pushed her back and hoovered over her. Her hair fanned in a halo around her head and as she looked up at him, she couldn't help but keep smiling. "Yes, much better." Her fingers stayed at his side, holding him in a light hug. "That sounds dangerous. I'll make sure to do that when you aren't near anything that's on fire and maybe when the boss has his back turned. I don't think I've met him anyway, he can't be mad at me if he doesn't know me." Because that made perfect sense somehow.

Date: 2017-01-05 03:13 am (UTC)He couldn't help the smile that crossed his face as he looked down at her, his own hair fanning around his face as he looked down into her eyes. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever met, at least he felt as much of late. "I'm not to heavy?" He asked concerned though most of his weight was being balanced on his forearms. "Yes please don't make my hair burn, I mean, I'll let you cut it after we get married if you want but I do like it as it is." He replied with a slight blush, a vikings hair was important, for him it was like its own armor. "You don't know Henry? he's cool."
no subject
Date: 2017-01-05 03:19 am (UTC)Freya shook her head. "Not that heavy. Of course it helps that your weight is almost evenly distributed." He was heavy but she could breathe and she liked it when he was close like this. Though his hair would tickle her nose if his head got lower.
"I don't know him and you can keep your hair how you like. I like my hair long." She looked up at him, her eyebrow raised. "Assuming it's okay that I keep it long. All I ask is that you keep your beard." She liked it when he looked manly.
