Freya grimaced. "I was hoping you'd just fall on me. You can't be that heavy. Your knee okay?" It was a lot easier to sympathize with pain now that she knew what it felt like to have to wait for things to heal. The initial pain wasn't as bad as the persistent ache. She was out of breath but she smiled at him anyway. She wanted to smile, to ignore the aches everywhere and the pain that twisted in her chest.

Today was supposed to be a happy day and that thought rang constantly in her head.

"Then you should buy me one now that I can feel it. I wonder how much I can take." She was so small. Freya's head tilted to the side as she moved forward, wrapping her arms around Thorfinn's. "I want to keep going. To see what else we can in the forest but I wanted to hug you first."
