Freya laughed. "Okay. It'd be easier if you gave me clues." She liked finding the hidden doors and loose boards in the boat. She didn't move anything that she didn't think she could fix later. Freya really didn't want to destroy his boat.
She watched his cheeks turn pink and glanced down at the watch.
8 minutes.
Freya's eyes snapped up at the word again. Her memories sharpened with vivid clarity as she thought back to the first night of Yule. "That wasn't a dream?" She'd forgotten about the watch, about New Years and about midnight.
"I thought I dreamed that." Freya tried to quickly organize her thoughts. Knowing it wasn't a dream felt like it changed things and yet at the same time she was more lost and confused than she was a few minutes before.
