Nothing showed on his face like pain. The old scars were sensitive to touch but that was about it. His bones and sometimes sore muscles were most of his physical pain. Seeing her eyes widen he didn't move at all he just let go of her hand and let his drop in the water. Already planning his move.

"You never know." He knew he'd never hurt her, and despite his threat he was pretty sure she knew he wouldn't ever raise a hand to her either. Unless they were mutually agreeing to brawl. Then it was fine.
