Thorfinn found something calming in swiming, something warming in having her against him as she was. It made him feel a little easier about himself, the more he was around her the more he felt he could understand himself, but the risks worried him a lot. She showed no signs of remembering so this was enough. It was more than enough.
"Not as much... you've helped with that. I used to never smile.. I saw no...Freya?" He heard her sputter as soon as she let go of his shoulder. He twisted himself in the water so he could turn to try help, but instead he laughed a little. She was adorable, and clearly not drowning.
