Thorfinn was still in his Yule clothes, but his stubble was back, much simpler paint had already been washed away as he let her lead them away from the party towards the beach. He wouldn't ever say no to the water, he loved it as much as he loved nature itself, but the sea was his home, his heart belonged to a sea he would never see again.
Thorfinn had started to tug his boots off when the reached the sand. When she tugged him again he dropped them and moved after her in his bare feet and fancy clothes. Thorfinn liked her dresses, he found they were beautiful on her. As most things were, and when he stopped beside her feeling the water wash up and over their feet he smiled again. A look mirroring her own. Everything felt perfect today.
"I shouldn't have doubted you. It is beautiful." His mind supplied something he could have said but he choose not to, instead just smiling and looking down to her when the water washed up again. "I grew up in a sea side fishing village." he spoke as he looked to the ocean before them, squeezing her hand a little. "I've always loved the ocean, the water the sounds, the salt in the air. This place doesn't have the ice floating like home but by the gods its just as lovely. Water we can swim in without worry of dying."
